This is what Mozart actually looks like. The image was found in a radio station in Belgium. Fact - the Moors (Black people) brought Classical Music to Europe.
You’re welcome.

Not only that but when you read the REAL bios of him, he’s described as having brown skin, “negroid features” (broad, wide nose, etc) and wiry hair. There was a post going around back in February that was very enlightening.

Wasn’t Beethoven part Moor (Black) too? There was a book written about his hair because Europeans were so transfixed with it!

Yes, Beethoven was Black.
Real history returns.

Never heard about this but I read about Beethoven. He was referred to as “the black boy” and people were awed by his afro.

I read up on this some more and I’ve come to the consensus that he certainly wasn’t WHITE. Definitely mulatto, and possible full black. But the idea that this man was caucasian is definitely white people trying to whitewash every revolutionary figure in history. What’s new?

Yeah, despite the fact that Mozart was very prominent individual and had multiple portraits taken during his lifetime wherein he appeared white in all of them, there’s a vast conspiracy where the evil boogey white man wants to make Mozart white and erase all the musical contributions black people have made to the art. Despite Blues, Jazz, Gospel, R&B, Soul, Rap/Hip Hop, and even arguably Rock were pioneered and directly influenced by black musicians the past century, the evil white man wants to erase all black people from music. As a black musician, I can’t take this seriously. It’s blackface, historically inaccurate and pretty racist.
Also, its from a radio station in Belgium  This photo is a blackfaced version of a Mozart portrait, made to advertise Jazz on Classical radio. It has no historical relevance whatsoever. And even if he was black, he would not look like this picture. Also the claim that black people brought classical music to Europe is obviously wrong when Classical music (Beethoven, Hadyn, Mozart) evolved from Baroque, which evolved from the Renaissance. I know, it may be an astounding revelation for some of you that white people have culture and created something.
There are plenty of strong empowering black musicians in history and even in modern time that did awesome things and have awesome work. Scott Joplin is one of my favorite composers, a ragtime composer who put classical themes into his work. Mozart is not one of them. There no need for this. Stop passing your conspiracy theories off as history, and get this mockery of classical music and bastardization of history off of my dash. Go take a music class…
This is why I’m starting to hate Tumblr…

If you really want to talk about a black Mozart, go look up Joseph Boulogne, Le Chevalier de Saint-George. He was mixed African and French ancestry, and his nickname is Le Mozart Noir.
I’d like to believe this is a joke but too many people in the reblogs actually believe this.

Ahhhhh so nostalgic. I used to be into the whole J-rock/J-pop scene, and YUI was one of my favourites ever (still is, for that matter). Then recently I watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for the first time with my friend, and I may have squealed a little when I heard this as the opening song.

YUI is just fantastic.
